Did you know?

An estimated 7.8 million homes in the UK have solid walls.

If you live in one of these homes, the good news is that you can cut down your heating bill with External Wall Insulation (EWI). And even better, if you receive certain benefits you can have your home insulated for FREE.

What is GEARS?

The GoGreena Energy and Regeneration Scheme (GEARS) is designed to help low-income families access funding from the government to get their home properly insulated. This helps the government meet their target of reducing carbon emissions, and helps you reduce your energy bills.

Do I qualify for free EWI?

Do you receive any of the following benefits?

  • Child Tax Credit (with relevant income under £16,190)
  • Employment Support Allowance
  • Job Seekers Allowance
  • Income Support

If the answer is yes, then you may be eligible for FREE external wall insulation worth up to £8000. The funding is made available by the government in order to help meet their target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions (read more about government funding here and here). One of our trained energy surveyors can assess your situation and let you know if you qualify for the scheme.

How much will I save?

For a typical 3 bedroom semi-detached house, you could save around £475 a year in heating bills, and 1.9 tonnes in CO2 emissions per year.

Where do I start?

The first step is to book your free, no-obligation energy survey. One of our trained surveyors will come and inspect your walls and let you know if your home is suitable for external wall insulation.
