As we reported back in October, the new Affordable Warmth ECO funding has been launched, making it possible for those of you who qualify to get a brand-new (and free!) energy efficient boiler. You have to be receiving benefits in order to qualify, and your current boiler has to be an old G-rated one.
As the Energy Saving Trust points out on their website, running a boiler can account for an eye-watering 60% of your annual energy costs, and there are thousands of you out there with old boilers wasting money that could be put to better use. If you meet the criteria, then your boiler genuinely is free — at no point does any money have to change hands — so it’s well worth looking into.
